DAVID JOHN FRENKIL

  • Founded Centennial in 2014 in Rwanda before expanding to the U.S. in 2022 where the company now focuses in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast.
  • Previously practiced as a Project Finance attorney at a global top-20 law firm.
  • Executed over $1bn of energy transactions, totaling more than 800 MW of solar and battery energy storage projects as an attorney, advisor and principal.
  • BA, magna cum laude, George Washington University.
  • Juris Doctor (JD), George Washington University Law School.

Jean Marcel Ngabo

VP of Operations

JEAN MARCEL NGABO

  • Joined Centennial in 2017 and responsible for each project that company has developed, installed, financed and operated.
  • Drives project finance activities, coordinating with in-house staff and external consultants on diligence, financial modeling, and capital structuring across the portfolio.
  • Previously worked for a construction firm, focusing on design and project management of major hotels such as Marriott and Four Points.
  • MBA, University of East London.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Creative Environmental Design.

Rennie Friedman

VP of Development

RENNIE FRIEDMAN

  • With over 20 years experience as a civil engineer, he has led the deployment of over 200 MW of solar and battery energy storage projects.
  • Leads project development from early execution through on-site mobilization.
  • Previously led the Development Teams for DSD (a BlackRock portfolio company) and SCS (a JV between Sol Systems and Arevon).
  • Professional Engineer (PE), LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP), and Designated Design Build Professional (Assoc. DBIA).
  • BS, Civil Engineering, George Washington University.

Adam Burgess

VP of Construction

ADAM BURGESS

  • His experience includes more than 20 years in electrical construction and contracting, with the past decade dedicated to over 100 MWdc of solar and battery energy storage projects for customers including Amazon, FedEx, hospitals, schools and police training centers.
  • Leads construction and project management across Centennial’s portfolio.
  • NABCEP-certified as a PV Installation Professional.
  • Holds a Master Electrical license in the State of Maryland, and a Merchant Mariner Credential issued by the US Coast Guard.

 

Andrew Posil

Principal, Head of Sales - Commercial Real Estate

ANDREW POSIL

  • Two decades of experience in commercial real estate, including capital markets advisory, brokerage and investment.
  • Leads Centennial’s sales with commercial real estate owners, including negotiating lease agreements and managing customer relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Served in the US Army JAG Corps.
    BA, UNC-Chapel Hill, lettering in varsity lacrosse and wrestling.
    MS, Commercial Real Estate Finance, John Hopkins University.

Lanre Opakunle

VP of Industrial &
Energy Solutions

LANRE OPANKULE

  • Based in Texas, he brings over 30 years experience in manufacturing and energy.
  • Leads Centennial’s industrial sales and battery energy storage business.
  • Previously worked for Amrize (f/k/a Lafarge Holcim), a global manufacturer of cement and aggregate materials, as an Energy Sourcing Director, where he led the preparation, construction and commissioning of two 2.5 million tons cement plants and two 90 MW captive power plants with over $1 billion value.
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering & Master's in Business Administration.
 

JP Murenzi

VP of Electrical Engineering

JP MURENZI

  • Joined Centennial in 2016 as the company’s first employee.
  • Responsible for all electrical engineering functions at Centennial, leading system design, technical execution, and engineering standards, while also heading the Interconnection team and overseeing utility coordination, application strategy, and project approvals.
  • Since joining Centennial, he has executed over 35 solar and battery energy storage projects.
  • MS, cum laude, Carnegie Mellon University - Electrical and Computer Engineering.

Rachael Moreland

Senior Director of Project Development

RACHAEL MORELAND

  • Over 10 years of project management experience in the energy sector, with 5 years developing solar projects at commercial and industrial properties.
  • Previously directed the Distributed Generation development team at Sol Systems.
  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
  • B.A. in Environmental Studies & International Affairs, Northeastern University.
  • M.S. in Energy Systems, Northeastern University.

Julien Jeannet

VP of Analytics

JULIEN JEANNET

  • Joined Centennial in 2017, supporting the company’s growth internally before pivoting to U.S. markets in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic.
  • More than two decades of experience in energy and infrastructure finance, representing over 150 MW of operating projects.
  • Responsible for project financial analysis, modeling, and structuring, as well as financial due diligence.
  • Prior roles project finance and data analytics at SunPower and with private-equity–backed platforms investing in energy generation assets.
  • MSc in Science, Strategy and Finance, EM Lyon Business School.

 

Hardik Nakrani

Senior Project Manager

HARDIK NAKRANI

  • Nearly a decade of experience delivering solar and battery energy storage projects, overseeing 50+ MW.
  • Supports construction and project management across Centennial’s portfolio, providing end-to-end oversight of project execution, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, safety standards and technical specifications.
  • Prior to joining Centennial, led the full project lifecycle at Core Development Group.
  • Master of Engineering in Construction Engineering & Management, Stevens Institute of Technology (NJ).
  • Certified in OSHA.
